I am a retired DJ from the 80's - 2005 and was considered relatively good at the time. I have recently returned as a DJ for a small non-profit on-line radio station and play a huge variety of mostly familiar pop, rock & country music from the 60's through current tunes (no electronic music). My desire is to elevate the listeners experience by creatively mixing the songs as best as possible. The player I am currently using is Sam Broadcaster Pro which is extremely limited on its own. I am looking for advice regarding any and all recommended equipment for purchase which would be broadcast friendly. Expense is not a factor for me and I have plenty of time. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

How do you get the play to be instant but the stop to vinyl brake ? On the xdj 1000 mk2 the play starts off slow too as the same when you press stop.

Nothing wrong with showing a truck that James hype does. I myself am trying to learn how he does the volume flicks paired with this trick to actually give some flavor to my mixes.

Sadly I will have to figure it out using Virtual DJ. I am only using a Numark Party mix and there are not many buttons. (Not a pro DJ, but learning nonetheless)....LOL

So this is what djs are doing today
It's like they got lazy went back into the early 80s and brought back the drop beat into the next track and not blending the tracks together and build up the drop with the effects. Smfh !
