I bought one of these a few months ago... finally in my budget....it's insane....it can ramp up to BEAST mode and calm down to a Persian pussycat riding along on a cloud...the juxtaposition is ...weird/epic/awesome. It's a lot of money, I was worried about reliability...3 months in (one speeding ticket, first time I opened it up -sigh) and about 7000kms has not missed a beat mechanically... So far I am impressed, the tech is pretty stunning, is it worth the price tag...kinda (based on my journey)...fun, exhilarating and luxurious - yep.

LarndRover used BMW engines before and they had all kind of issues; certainly contributed to reliability stigma. I'm surprised to see them go back down that path. I do believe BMW has improved the quality of their engines over the last 5 years or so. I have the 2021 5.0 Liter Range Rover sport. The sound of the 5.0 liter is much better than the new 4.4 liter. I am starting to like the new RR body style; I liked everything but the back tailgate rounded edges. I would by the new SV but not the first year. Give them 2-3 years to get the bugs out.
