An mmo for people that have jobs/kids/lives. Best combat, best maps, best mounts. And they actually listen to player feedback.

NOTE: The producers have confirmed that this is NOT the end of Guild Wars 2. It's just a major expansion and a critical lore moment in the series. Plenty more stories to tell in future expansions.

2 types of Idiotic comments out there
1) Dead Game - Plenty of has been the top few MMOs (cos the current selection is pretty bad) for some time and numbers have been surging again.
2) Chinese Money - Cantha is the setting from the GW1 expansion, just like Crystal Desert stuff is also from the nightfall expansion. Cantha has been requested by players for many years already.

Ive played guild wars from time to time, and the game has never EVER felt dead.

It's this mentality that if something isn't in the top 3 most played games, or has Twitch hype isn't worth your time.
Stop being braindead slaves to the mainstream. Guild Wars 2 feels way WAAAY more alive then WoW btw.

Underrated MMO, best combat system by far
Mounts that actually have a use
Great Crafting and Build theorycrafting
WvW and PvP maps are done really well
Great story
Awesome Raid encounters
Skill progression and actually an MMO that strives for player improvement rather than chasing the carrot.

Always wanted to pick this game and give it a shot back at 2014 but never had the chance. Is it a perfect time now to give it a try? Also how's the player base ?
