My Top 3 highlighters across different undertones & skin tones

Tried to keep it concise but comprehensive👇🏻

For a regular person, one highlighter is usually enough and while the use may not be frequent, it is mostly on special occasions so the decision is important. I don’t believe in ‘rules’ with makeup but the general understanding is that a highlighter should be about 2 shades lighter than your skin tone and a little idea about undertones also helps.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop is stunning and a cult favorite highlighter that Smashbox saved for us when Becca closed down so now its BECCA X Smashbox . Champagne works on all skin tones, just maybe not on very dark ones coz it can seem light on those. It’s also friendly across all undertones so its a safe bet.

@maccosmeticsindia Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Whisper Of Guilt: A very intense gold highlighter that’s a hit with bridal makeup artists obv! Gold goes best with warm undertones and this highlighter looks beautiful on light, medium and even deeper skin tones. Fair/pale skin can avoid it since it will look deeper on those.

@bobbibrownindia Pink Glow: This is such a pretty highlighter and so unique in its shade! Gives a soft wash of pink with a LOT OF GLOW.
Pearly, icy, pinky highlighters look really good against cool-neutral undertones and this shade goes well on fair-light skin. On deeper tones it will look frosty.

If you have dark skin tone, bronzey or rose-gold highlighters work well. I couldn’t include this since I couldn’t procure a compelling option.

⚡️All of these are top of the line highlighters with intense pigment, great shine, long staying power and they never look tacky or accentuate skin texture.
