Here is an update on the next round of stimulus and the stimulus check negotiation for July 23, 2020.

Republicans are discussing NO money for state and local governments and want to keep the package at $1 trillion dollars. They're also discussing a payroll tax deferral, money for schools, liability protections, PPP funding, targeted stimulus checks, and some extension for unemployment insurance. However, we may not see the text of this bill until the week of July 27th. We're also expecting the pandemic unemployment assistance payments (PUA) to be extended in some form, however they will likely miss the deadline of July 31st.

Phases we've Had:
Phase 1: Test Funding
Phase 2: Health and Hospitals Funding
Phase 3: CARES Act ($1,200 Stimulus Checks, PPP, EIDL)
Phase 3.5: More PPP, EIDL Money for Small Biz
Phase 4: Extra $1,200. Payroll Tax Cut. Targeted PPP funding. An extension of the pandemic unemployment assistance payments (PUA).
PLUS Infrastructure bill (separate from these phases).

$1, 200 is a slap in the face I would love to see any one of these people try to make it on 1200 bucks for 5 months because Florida's unemployment system is a messand you can't even get your unemployment and it is already being cancelled LOLpeople are going to be in pretty bad shape after this I certainly wish everybody the very best

If they were smart they would give $2000 per month until end of year for the people. That way we are taken care of and people will be happy they don’t have to go to the table again for us! They can then work on another bill with all the other stuff in it as they please!
