Welcome to JustQuant, in this video you will learn unit digit math. You can understand how to find unit digit of a number raised to power in the form x to the power of y. The math trick is explained with the help of two examples.

Unit’s digit of a number is the digit in the one's place of the number. i.e It is the rightmost digit of the number. For example, the unit’s digit of 243 is 3, the units digit of 39 is 9.
Rising to a power is iterated multiplication. Luckily, you can find your units digit with a simple multiplication pattern, even when you’re working with large powers.
One of the ways of finding the unit digits of a power is by finding the remainder when that number is divided by 10. Another general and one of the easy way to find the unit digit of a number in the form xy, is done with the help of the following steps:
1. Identify units digit in the base “x” and call it say “I. {For example, if x=24, then unit digit in 24 is 4. Hence I=4}.
2. Divide the exponent y is exactly divisible by 4.
3. If the exponent y is exactly divisible by 4 then unit digits of xy is 6, if I=2,4,6,8
4. The unit digit of xy is 1, if I=3, 7, 9
5. If y leaves a non zero remainder r, when divide by 4, then the unit digit of xy =lr
