the only orthodontist around where i live puts expanders in everyone and lip bumbers and ive had my expander since 3rd grade im in 9th now and my lip bumber since 5 and they havent put braces on me yet

My kid is 7 and half. She lost her canine early and it didn't show up till now. The space between the teeth has narrowed and closed the canine place. Would lip bumper help making a place for the canine to show up?
