It's even funnier when one has completed the 6th GDI mission, only to be told by Carter (I think that's the name of the head-honcho of the Marines) that you were supposed to wipe out the whole of the Nod base - which wasn't your fault (to have not done that) because you received a faulty transmission before starting mission 6!

Just saw a bit of the original “Top Gun” movie yesterday, the part where Maverick and Goose chase Jester below the hard deck, and it’s the first time I noticed this: if you go to 3:44 from the video in the following link, it’ll sound familiar:
The voice in this C&C clip is a little different from Michael Ironside, but it’s still pretty similar.
