Great explanation, sir! Your breakdown of OPEC's role in the global oil market and its influence on pricing is both clear and informative. I particularly appreciated how you explained its founding in 1960 and how it unites major oil-exporting countries to stabilize markets. The discussion on member nations and their collective decisions to balance supply and demand was very insightful. It’s fascinating to see how OPEC impacts global economies and energy policies. Perfect for anyone looking to understand the basics of this vital organization. Looking forward to more such detailed and informative videos.

Briefly explained in your friendly way. OPEC, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, is an international organization founded in 1960 having following objectives:
Limiting quota for Oil exports to allow other countries to enjoy monetary benefits fairly making efficient supply for consumers, and a fair return on investment
Coordinate and unify petroleum policies among member countries to ensure stable oil prices for producers
Although OPEC countries play a powerful role in global oil market, its future may not be as bright as of now due to Climate Change to control emmision to net-zero globaly by 2050.

Major oil-exporting countries, often members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), wield significant influence in international law and relations. OPEC nations, including Saudi Arabia and Iran, shape global energy policies, impacting economic and geopolitical landscapes. Their actions, such as production quotas and pricing decisions, trigger ripple effects worldwide. The nexus between international law and OPEC's market dynamics involves complex negotiations, agreements, and occasional disputes. In the fields of CSS (Central Superior Services), LLB (Bachelor of Laws), and LLM (Master of Laws), scholars analyze how OPEC's activities navigate legal frameworks, influencing state behavior and global energy security paradigms within the realm of international relations.

OPEC is an organisation of 12 major oil producing countries, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, and Venezuela. It was created in Baghdad in September 1960. The headquarters of OPEC is in Vienna, Austria, where it carries out its day to day businesses. The member countries of OPEC work together to manage the production and pricing of oil.

The goal of OPEC is to keep oil prices stable by working together on how much oil each country should produce.

It aims to protect price fluctuations and protect the country. This way, they try and make sure oil producing countries benefit fairly from selling oil.

The USA is not part of OPEC. This means that it has full control over its own production and supply of oil without any interference from OPEC.

Countries that left OPEC include Ecuador in 2020, Qatar in 2019, Indonesia in 2016, and Angola in January 2024.

Member countries of OPEC are:
Algeria, Nigeria, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Venezuela, Congo, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea.
