Call of Duty: Vanguard transforms Zombies into a run-based, roguelike-inspired co-op shooter. There are materials to harvest, a hubworld to develop, and the existential fright that all your progress might be obliterated by one blindside flank. But with just three repetitive mission types and no overarching main quest arriving until December, Zombies feels frustratingly empty at the moment. Who could've imagined the curse of undeath would be so boring?

Have to agree with this one. Zombies is a shell of its former self. The golden age of zombies was back in Black Ops/World at War days.

This review makes me seriously wonder if CoD will ever actually take a year off to better polish a new CoD game or to ensure that a new game launches with enough content.

Don't know why a proper single player/co op story based zombie mode is such an unthinkable thing for the developers? They keep making the same thing over and over again.

What made zombies so much fun in the first place was its simplicity, then they added a couple of little Easter eggs which blew up and then they really focused on that part of the game, now you have "objectives" where's the fun?

We need a Zombies only Game. Something that brings all the communities favourite maps into one game. That way the developers can focus purely on making old maps better and being more creative with new ones

Honestly, a classic zombies playstyle is all we need; high rounds, basic perks, and did they even have an easter egg? it's getting too complex for new players.
