And because it's so deeply touched on, this way of dialogue making is why The Wither 3 is one of the most enjoyed games out there.

"Ni chuja" and "Takiego wała" are two phrases that you simply cannot translate into English. It would be like trying to translate GTA:SA into Polish. You just lose the sociolect

Polish dubbing is the best because it's a Polish game, but when I listen to it in English, for example, the voice doesn't match the characters

This is because the Polish version was written separately and english is based on it, not the other, usual way around. I saw them both and I always felt sorry for non Polish speaking players how much they missed and it always felt strange to me that people actually liked Geralt talking like Batman.

The dialogue is so much richer in the original! In english everything is just with fu*k which is boring as hell

I always wonder if eng folks dont get the intonations in slavic languages and that’s why they’re not defaulting them in slavic games. As a czech I can catch the wide range of emotions in the tones. So I was thinking… maybe western folk just… dont? Hear all that? Since the ear is untrained (that’s not me being mean, just logical). 🤔 like literally most of the characters in pl dub get a wholeass different personality; more layers, different POV that gets you thinking.
