TheCGBros Presents "Luna25" by ESMA - In 1972, two Russian cosmonauts are on a mission on the Moon to bring back Helium 3. One of them makes an incredible discovery and has to make a choice while solar winds are coming toward him. En 1972, deux cosmonautes russes sont en mission sur la Lune afin de rapporter de l'Hélium 3. L'un d'entre eux fait une extraordinaire découverte et est amené à faire un choix pendant que des vents solaires se dirigent vers lui.

The Russian is actually quite good in this animation (believe me, I'm a native Russian speaker). Although the accent, especially of the "radio announcer" is apparent, the speech is intelligible.

Why does this bring me back to Sunstorm, the middle book of Clarke's Times. Eye trilogy? The Russian climbing up Shackleton Crater, the Australian making a breakthrough inHe3? And the sunstorm of course, eerie.

Soviet LOC don’t have solar batteries.
Soviet Luna spacecrafts it’s a series unmanned probes. Prototipes of manned lunar spaceships was named Zond.
Andrey spacesuite is Berkut, not Krechet )

As far as I know, this is exactly how it should have happened even before Apollo 1969, Leonov was supposed to land on the moon
Somehow the launch vehicle went wrong, the launch failed. But it was Helium, not water

Animation is not bad. At least I liked the concept and the atmosphere present in this work. Yes, it was wrong for many reasons. Ranging from the incorrect and sometimes strange pronunciation of the Russian language, ending with implausible solar storms, or something like that. But nevertheless, if you think less about it, then everything is fine. I am even pleased to see that some foreign creators have decided to pay attention to Russian astronauts. This doesn't happen often.😅

Эхх, опять развесистая клюква... Картаво, коряво, непохоже. Ну не было так в СССР. я там родился и жил 20 лет с лишним. И ни один космонавт бы не оставил тело товарища на используемой орбите - это верная смерть при столкновении любому аппарату.
