Some times the Device Works and some time not, In this Case Please try the following:

Open Device Manager >Human Interface Devices >I2C HID Device>Properties> Power Management(Last Tab)>Uncheck - Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Note: You can do this only when the device detects the touchpad.
