Mitchell "Can" be an asset, but not unless she's committed to supporting her team, and that means supporting(Passing To) Caitlin, and not Ignoring Passing the Ball to anybody, but especially to Caitlin. Caitlin has no problem Feeding Mitchell the ball, to help the Team, when she's surrounded, with no shot. Mitchell needs to Knock off the Fancy But Useless Dribbling, which usually leads to a Missed Bucket. She'll be a big help, but she's got to "Come to the party" in every game.
BUT as long as Sides is there, what is the point, because she's Intent upon doing the exact opposite from helping that team, and is in desperate need of being UNEMPPLOYED

Team % shooting 30%. CC will always have around 5 turnovers a game. Off set by her 7-12 avg assists. Biggest problem is team shooting…it’s terrible.

Hull showed all how to play for the team not just themselves. After CC steal Hull Sprinted Down Court, Clark following shot Hull the ball Hull back to CC 3 point score. Hull knew CC had a better chance than her . Just a tiny example how to play to get CC open and that was not a Sides play call but between two players who know what to strive for

As far as these turnovers. If someone drops the pass, it should not go agsinster the one throwing the ball. In baseball, it's an error on the one that doesn't catch the ball thrown to them. In football it's passes.

Caitlin Clark's usage is nearly 30% to 40% at a clip of like 5.3 TOV. Comparing her to the player that likely leads the league in assists per game, Allyssa Thomas, she's at 20% with a 4.2 turnover rate. She's honestly right up there per competition and due to the high volume of usage for her team's offensive sets/ flow, she's just the most vulnerable to be in a position to have a turnover. (Even without the whole "defense is focused on her" game plan from the get-go narrative.)

The Fever have issues with their rotations. Clark's best complements are Lexie Hull and Temi Fegbenle since those minutes shared with her between these players are positive in terms of net rating. They have to probably change their lineup for starting with this unit: Lexie Hull, Clark, Boston, Fegbenle, and Mitchell. With Boston being able to pop, it's going to space the floor better since Clark-Mitchell, and Hull can spread the floor and shoot corners, while being able to let you leave the areas open for Clark or Mitchell to operate. Defensively the team is pretty solid and could improve by trying to use Celeste Taylor instead of Mitchell. I feel they should work that lineup over whatever they use.

Mitchell = Celeste Taylor can be in for defensive purpose since she should be a better option than Wallace and doesn't need to hover around the same portion of the court that Clark or Mitchell are best at on the floor.

The Sparks do play better without Lexie Brown in the starting lineup taking the shots for herself. Calderon is way more impactful with those other 4 around her--Lexie could add in some second unit action and go off on scoring options and have a low-post threat like her 6'7 center inside rebounding and occupying space for Lexie. It is a better position change for the team since they are able to space.

And yeah you're right the coach will be salvaged as a scrape eventually.

Mounting evidence that the WNBA is manufacturing a narrative that CC isn't good enough for their "amazing league." 1. The Fever schedule is unfairly stacked against the Fever with the toughest teams and the most games without rest, despite CC having the least amount of rest prior to the season- 2. The Fever coach has been instructed not to allow CC to be herself as a player and to get into a rhythm, playing her off the ball and sitting her in crucial moments- 3. The officials allow defenders who are hellbent on keeping CC down to grab and hold her, elbow her face, etc. but won't allow CC any leeway to defend or complain in return 4. Every team double-teams CC with a sense of urgency, while double-teaming no other player in the league. 5. Every close call down the stretch gets called in favor of the Fever's opponent to ensure losses in close games.
