tbrs are not typically my thing, but i had a pretty good idea of all of the books i wanted to read this month so i decided to go ahead and film one just this once! hope you guys are having a fabulous first week of fall!!🍂

I actually loved Dracula until maybe the last third of the book. The build up is great but the excitement kinda plateaus toward the end. I still definitely recommend giving it a try!

I loved The Beautiful! It's a slow-burn romance though, and tbh there's more romance and vampires in the second book, but the first book has more of that thriller element!

I used to love short chapters but I’m currently reading the chestnut man and the chapters are like 4-9 pages and its stressing the hell out of me😩
Also, I read the beautiful and absolutely hated it pls let me know what you think with that one!

My second novel, Laissez les Bons Temps Rouler, which I wrote in English, has short chapters like you mentioned. By the way, the title means Let the Good Times Roll.

Stevenson's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde has never been a favorite among the girls. Romance, or in simpler terms, a romantic element should more or less prevail in the atmosphere of a Gothic story. There is no romance in this tale. No love interest, no important female character and most importantly, no happy ending or redemption. Still it is one of those horror stories which does make you think about the limitlessness of the miracles of Nature.
