Was only here to know how wire up my speed controller for my bike but now will attempt to change it from 36v to 48v and also make a charger for it CHEAPLY! With the stuff I already have floating around the house. Wish I came across your channel earlier. Would of save myself a shit tone.

As someone else has stated, why not just use a 2S BMS, with balance function?

One thing you do not make real clear is your two solar panels create 2 isolated 5 volt sources. If some one would try to wire two TP4056 to the same voltage source the protection circuit would shutdown due to a short. You also do not show a wiring diagram, This situation might cause confusion to someone who does not understand this minor issue of isolated supplies. I have heard of using a micro-controller to switch the two boards on an off to get around the protection circuit. Other than that great video.

Nice use of cheap charger boards. I like using standard connectors, but using XT60's for milliamp loads seems like overkill! Might wire direct to the JST to streamline the wiring for the feeder, and maybe start keeping a supply of XT30's for such tiny uses.

I use many XT60's a few XT30's, a few XT90's. I also have a selection of adapter cables to convert between. But I mostly deal with 12volt and 24volt using Anderson powerpole (the 15/30/45 series) and SB series connectors (and I have adapter cables for those as well). I find the andersons are more realistic in their current ratings. For example, 30 amps thru a powerpole with 12ga wire for several hours runs warm to hot as you would expect from 12ga, but not too hot. Run 30 amps thru an XT60 with 12ga wire for an hour or two and it will get scorching hot, to the point I've had them unsolder. Anderson is also good about documenting the required wire size for the connector to handle the specified current, and the temperature rise to expect. With XTxx (and ECxx and pretty much all hobby connectors) you are on your own.

So the outputs of the little charger boards are floating? (No direct connection between either output terminal and input ground?) I guess so, otherwise, you couldn’t daisy-chain the, like that….

Hey bro, sorry for commenting here, i got a new Ebike and i have a problem on it and i need your help, the display reads only up to 13km/h when locked speed while it actually goes 28km/h, and when i unlock the speed it reads 39km/h, i tried upluggin and plugging all cables again with no result

One more question for tonight. I had led with a battery pack and charger that runs on 8, 4 volts. After it was broken I used the charger to charge two 18650 batteries connected to 8, 4 volts with no bms. Just like original battery pack. I charged both separately before I connected them. I've charged this pack a couple of times with no issues. Am I just lucky nothing ever happened?
