2014, I was diagnosed with Degenerative Brain Disease. My father died in 2014. A cranial autopsy revealed frontal temporal dementia. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2015. My older brother and sister are having cognitive difficulties. January 2022, I went on Ketogenic diet, ate one 2k calorie meal per day (meat, fish, eggs, non-starch vegetables) over 4 hours, fasted 20 hours a day, walked 8 miles every other day. October 2022, lost 73 lbs, got off 7 medications I had been on for 20+ years and had best blood test results ever. Two years 9 months later, I still follow the same lifestyle. I’m doing so much better cognitively. Alzheimer’s/Dementia is now considered type 3 diabetes. Consider changing what you eat and your level of exercise as a potential defense against diseases.

Wow, that was a brilliant conversation, really outstanding completely blown my mind, I suppose it helps with three nice souls talking with each other .

I know several Americans living comfortably on ~$1100 a month in Social Security—but without health insurance or any luxuries. Living in Thailand is better than trying to survive in the US on such a small amount.

I can totally understand this way of living. Taking care of another person is nothing to be ashamed of. One hand washes the other.

British families are sending elderly relatives with dementia overseas to Thailand in a small but growing trend. Researchers visiting private care homes in Chiang Mai have found eight homes where guests from the UK are living thousands of miles away from their families, because suitable care in their home country was impossible to find or afford. Thailand already has a long history of medical tourism and it’s now setting itself up as an international hub for dementia care. His getting well by giving the Thai lady helps for informing her about the waters & understanding adjustments are so great. He and she are getting well by following the ways she's going to follow his way as a thanks for taking care of him too.

67 is not really that old, I have friends in late 80's in good shape, it is all about how we take care of ourselves, not allowing others to take advantage of us, good sleep, diet, no alcohol or drugs, good relationships, avoiding stress, you can be "OLD" at age 50, and be young at age "90"

Great video Ryan, in my opinion, one of your best and I definitely think it's the best interview you've done.

Thank you for sharing, very interesting. I love Pen's trousers. I get strange looks wearing my Tai trousers in the UK (with thermals under them) 😂

I’m glad to know that home care agencies exist in Chiang Mai and are affordable. Keeping elderly people at home is so much more humane than facilities are based on my experience of caring for my parents at home.

Thai women are so unconditionally committed to their partner. Very loyal people. (I am not talking about the bar the girls )

I looked after my father for 3 years with Dementia and Alzheimer's, 2 years full time until his passing. This lady deserves a medal, she knows as a nurse it is going to become much more difficult as time passes and she will be lucky if she gets 4 hours sleep consecutively each night, good luck to them both, chok dee krab 📿🙏

Great vid and was comforted how they give each other mutual support. I'm nearly 70 and always wonder about my care needs if I become physically or mentally impaired.

Great attitude for this gentleman. How lucky he is to have found his caretaker. I didn’t hear the cost of her services?

I am always curious what some people consider a "massive" amount to be scammed for. And good feel good story. Glad this service is around.

I am not ready to give up my water bottles yet!🤣🤣🤣

Interesting vid.
As far as water goes technically you need to run a RO filter to remove these forever chemicals and microplastics.
Ideally with with pre-filters for efficiency then remineralize at the end of the process

This is a beautiful care for this gentleman would be extremely expensive in America, and I would dare to say this nice Thai lady does a much better job than a similar caregiver in the States. I hope many people see this video and realize there's some caregiving options in Thailand that can greatly enhance quality of life while preventing bankruptcy. Excellent content, and the interview was superb.
