In the past I've ridden generic hybrid saddles, a time trail saddle ISM Adamo Typhoon, a road saddle Charge Knife, and recently I've tried the Prologo Dimension and Pro Stealth short saddles.

I like the substitute teacher reference. I'm retired and have been doing that for the last 4 years. Great gig that I commute to by bike as many days as I can. As far as saddles are concerned, I must be pretty adaptable, because I use whatever came stock with the bike. I have two 70's Schwinn's and a Fugi Mountain bike. All feel comfortable, even after a couple of hours.

Had a Brooks B17 but the rails were very short. I now have the Velo Orange leather saddle and couldn't be happier. The leather is thicker as are the rails, and the rails are longer allowing for slightly more setback.

i use a Selle SMP Extra... same concept as ism saddles.... love it

What do you use for a mic when riding? You have such little wind noise compared to the gopro's built in mic.

Well....I'm a fat guy who's trying to come back from heart problems. My saddle is a the Walmart Schwinn fat guy, big butt seat. What can I say....

I have Brooks England Saddles on 2 of my bikes one has leather and one has the cambium saddle. Both are good saddles and both have their own draw backs. I over all like the leather since it forms to my body but the cambium is lighter and weatherproof.

I have 3 saddles I really like, 2 types from a 1993 specialized allez pro and comp, third my favorite from a 1993 specialized hybrid bike. Seems like the early 90's things were really at their best.

Selle Turbo is my favourite allrounder.
Italia XO a pretty good second best for me. We all got different shaped delicate bits: )
Brooks are cool, but expensive & never light.

The prologo dimension saddle is a good alternative for the power saddle.

I have the Specialized Power saddle on both of my bikes. I went from being unable to do more than 60 kms to riding 100 kms with ease.

Still looking for one I like. Currently get a lot of pressure in the groin area. Any suggestions? I might just need to adjust the one I have

Brooks Cambium C17 is my personal favorite

I can personally attest to the squishy saddle discomfort. My old gel-foam saddle felt cushy, but the lack of stability made itself felt over time. I replaced it with an el-cheapo Schwinn Comfort Saddle, which is much firmer while not being HARD, and, after getting the tilt and position right, it is much more comfy over an hour or two. I have mine mostly level, and a little nose-up, since it has a slight curvature.

I have a Charge spoon on my commuter. I'm still getting used to it. The most comfy saddle I have is on my second bike and it came off a Norco mtb. The shape is pretty similar to the spoon.

I would have to say my favorites are by Brooks.  The B17 and the Cambium.  The B17 doesn't look that comfortable, but the leather breaks in to your contours after a few hundred miles, and then it's as comfortable as a couch.

I picked up a Brooks B17 a couple years ago and it's been awesome! Took a couple hundred miles to break in but... its broken in specifically to my butt.
