My husband and I are a bit older, he will be 80 next month. We are in the age bracket where our friends are passing away, some have had long term illness, others, just suddenly (my son in law died at age 40 unexpectedly) . Here’s the deal, you can’t take the money with you, but you do take the memories. We don’t know how much time we are allotted on this earth, spend the money, make the memories. And I mean that as you didn’t create debt doing it, you had the money saved, so you could pay it off, just from a different bucket. Im glad you guys had a wonderful time. And sorry if this was a bit morbid.

Don’t feel bad about going over budget on your vacation because your are financially responsible by making up for financially afterwards. And the memories are worth more then the cash any way in my book. Great cash stuffing!

Me and my husband still celebrate both dating and wedding anniversary. This November we make 16 years together and this past April we celebrated our 12th year wedding anniversary.
