Walz's family reacting to him is almost the most touching thing that's happened tonight. Gus is a treasure whose dad has clearly taught him being emotional is okay. Gwen last night pulled out teacher mode and when they tried to applaud her said "WATCH THE SCREEN AND HUSH." Hope is so authentic and so strong in who she is because of them. His family is maybe his best endorsement.

I live in NYC, and one of my fondest memories of the city was formed on 11.07.2020 when street parties spontaneously broke out all over the city: Joe Biden had been declared the next POTUS. On the Upper East Side where I lived a DJ bought out a portable rig and started playing music for an hour while everyone danced.

We thought then that the Trump nightmare was over, but we were wrong. Like the monster in every horror movie, he remained a danger even after we thought him gone. This November we’ll put a stake through the heart of Trumpism once and for all - and the party WILL BE WILD!!

Yeah, that was really touching. Walz’s son pointing out and proudly saying 'that is MY DAD' really reflects every parent’s dream of being respected and loved by their children. On the other hand, Trump seems to distance himself from his sons and even blames them for his mistakes. It’s clear how much Walz shows love and kindness to his family, and I hope he proves to be the right choice for our country. Time will tell, but so far, I’m pleased with what I see. Given the other options, which are quite concerning, I’d prefer leaders who demonstrate family values over those associated with corporate scandals and felonies
