This is awesome and helpful but no use to me :(
I went and looted the gemstone, but picked up the quest later, so therefore sold it, now I dont know where to get another gemstone and there seems to be no respawns on it in the town behind the vendor.
Is there, or does anyone know a way for me to get another gemstone for this sidequest?

For some reason, Cid isnt giving me any quests to do... I've materials for engine blade iii ready but cant upgrade. Any ideas?

It took me about 2 days of camping and quests before he had it finished. He'll call your cell phone when it's done.

how do I get him to actually give me the quest? I have the drain lance II and the engine blade II and I already have the item to upgrade the blade to engine blade III but when I talk to Cid he just says random shit. I don't have the engine blade equipped and I'm on chapter 3 if that matters.

Is there a way to get back your engine blade when you have sold it because i accidentally sold it and i did not know it would turn into the ultima weapon

So I have drain lance II and recently gave Cid the rusted bit for better engine blade II but his questline disappeared from my quests and won't let me proceed to a better engine blade III or lance for that matter?

How long do you have to wait and can just camp a bunch to get it to go faster
