How to Make a Piñata Cake! | Cupcake Jemma

Bored of cake? No me neither, but if you did happen to get a little tired of the usual, cut-cake, eat-cake thing, then perhaps you should upgrade to a cake with a little more to give. Like a Piñata Cake! It's like cake, but way more exciting!

You will need -

4 layers of a cake of your choice
a decent amount of buttercream of your choice to fill, crumb-coat and cover your cake
food colour pastes
mini smarties or some other delicious sweet!
a turntable
cake boards
cake leveller/serrated knife
palette knives
small round cookie cutter
piping bags and 5 large petal nozzles

Hello Jemma! Last week I visited C& D shop in Soho for the first time (my dream-came-true moment, and your staff was really sweet and helpful), and amongst cupcakes and a slice of rolo cake I also bought a slice of what turned out to be an addiction: white chocolate with pink and white marshmallows, oreo bits and coconuts (I think), topped with choolate sauce and more oreos. I failed to catch the name but would be great if you could share the recipe for this ;-) Truly love what you do and your videos!!
