A Big Screen in a TINY Package: RayNeo Air2 Showcase

When I imagine XR glasses, I imagine a pair of glasses that just look like a pair of glasses and not a giant device strapped to your head. And that’s what today’s sponsor TCL and their RayNeo Air 2 are. XR glasses that look like glasses. Since this is a sponsored showcase by RayNeo we’re going to be talking about some of their features and how it works with the Air 2, as well as my experience using them. There’s some genuinely cool stuff in here, and some stuff that sticks out. Let’s talk about it.

Check out this video's Sponsor the RayNeo Air2 down below and get $30 off starting July 8th:

I tried the rayneos along with the viture glasses, brought the vitures on a plane trip and they worked *okay*. That's really the ideal scenario and they're still kind of uncomfortable being much heavier than regular glasses (vitures were more comfortable with stronger clamping force). They're pretty good screens actually, the contrast and brightness are amazing and 1080p is not an issue when watching video. But if I had a choice between ar glasses and my 14" OLED laptop, I'll go with the laptop (and after just an hour of wearing, I always go for the laptop).
Having a case included like viture did is really important, I feel like Rayneo should make a case so people give them more of a chance on the go.

This is the first review that they actually look small and I’m grateful for that because I’m a bigger guy and I don’t want them to be too small on me

You need to take the nose pads off to get a better but you can only do that resting while using the device, I've had the ray neo's for a few months now.

Would be cool to do some jimmy tries “insert YouTube sponsored product” loved the ridge wallet and rayon video even though people missed the point about them not being better then the competition.

Curious to try this. What's the sharpness like though? How is it for reading text in productivity apps on a laptop? Can you adjust the screen size? E.g. 25" - 150" display kind of effect?

Cool tech but still no where close to the XR future we are hoping for. They don't sit on your face like regular glasses, they sit too high and look weird, the fact you have to look under the display to see through them is not good ergonomicly either, if there was a way for them to track your eyes and sense that you are looking through them that would be better. I can see these being better in a couple design iterations

Still stunned that companies insist on making some stupid external box shaped like a nother phone instead of putting basic functionality inside the glasses and keeping the power and controls on a neck band. zero people want a whole other device to take up pocket space especially while sitting

Sorry bro they do not look like "regular sunglasses", looks very black mirror and unnatural and the sunglasses are kind of too far from your face

And not a word about the terrible optical blur... These glasses are absolutely not suitable for people with good vision... The electronic engineers tried hard, but the optical engineers... forgot about them altogether. 😾😾
