I loved Portugal when I visited in 2022, would love to go back soon! Great video!

I do wanna add to the point of being able to speak English with people: in my experience this was true 95% of the time in Lisbon. But outside Lisbon (I went to Coimbra and Porto, and used some local trains), that was more like 50-50 sometimes in my experience.

So my advice would be to also learn some stuff beyond yes/no/thanks, like "where is the bathroom", "do you have a table for x people", "can I have the bill" and "what dish/drink would you recommend". Went a long way for me at least, and it's greatly appreciated since you show effort and interest in the culture and language!

Yes, they (breads, olives, cheeses) are not free, but they are affordable that I always took them when served.

Gosh- its beautiful in Portugal! I tend to stay away from driving and opt for trains. Its more of an added stress to figure out the navigation and parking whereas taking the train is hassle-free. Thanks for the all the travel tips!

Me and my wife absolutely loved Portugal!! I highly recommend doing a food tour we were able to find some non tourist restaurant that opened before 7pm.
