Install cup holders in your canoe - Don't spill a drink again!

Показать описание
Nothing like getting out on the lake and floating around for a few hours in a canoe, kayak or jon boat, especially if you can fish while out there. One of our pet peeves, though, is not having a good place to put all of the stuff that we take. Most of the stuff inevitably ends up in the center of the canoe, or tucked into one end. First thing we did was add a hook to the outside of the canoe so we could clip a minnow bucket to it. Second thing we did was add cup holders!. The canoe seats already have built-in rod holders, which are decent enough to set the rods in, but they weren't deep enough to hold a cup, bottle or can. So, we installed cup holders on the back (based on how we sit in the boat) of each seat. We used two different styles to see which one worked better, but they are both good. The first style is a fold-up version. It's nice because it folds up and stays out of the way when not in use. The other style is meant for a bike or stroller as it can clip around a tube. It would have actually clipped to the edge of the canoe, but it would end up on a bit of an angle, so we removed the clip portion and just screwed the base to the seat. We took it out the other night and it worked perfectly? No more spilling drinks as you're trying to bait a hook or reel in a fish! Best part was this project literally took about 2 minutes.
