Molly thought her medical prowess was finally recognized when her boss asked to help with a case. She gladly jumped on the chance to prove herself to Dr. Gibson, who’s also her deadbeat dad. But the man simply said: “Our new patient is a child. And I hate kids”. “That I know”, Molly replied before entering the patient’s room. The little girl presented with a sharp stomach ache, which wasn’t unusual. What did seem odd was how the girl acted near her parents. She kept looking at them as if in fear. What’s more, the kid’s dad wouldn’t let her speak and answer all questions instead of her. Alas, Dr. Gibson wasn’t concerned by the weird family dynamic. He wanted to prep the girl for appendectomy and be done with it. 

Molly, on the other hand, got worried about the child’s clear discomfort around her father. She wanted to postpone the surgery until she talked to the kid alone.

Why do you think Dr. Gibson is so insistent on treating patients as just "files and symptoms"? Perhaps he's afraid of getting close to people?

The element of investigation combining with dramatical plot of each episode, especially this one always give a sense of sophistication. The notion that the wive entertain on how everything her husband have done for the family could compensated with the amount of times he caused harm to his own child is totally wrong. The child has absolutely nothing to do with all negativity surrounding either father or mother. Molly has earned her perfect place to access to the unknown world of someone who are in-between giving up a chance of living a normal life. This is quite a beautiful story.

What a great story!!! Some parents see their children as personal property and abuse them and make decisions for them. They just don’t understand kids are human not object and they have feelings too.

This fourth episode of Saving Hearts moved the story forward in the development of the relationship between Molly Palmer and her father Dr David Gibson. It is growing in respect of Dr Gibson for his daughter. This story was fascinating, but like in real life, you can fix the physical ailments, but you may not be able to fix the emotional. Yaroslav Shinder played what is obviously an abusive father and that part was not resolved. All in all this was a good episode, not an important episode, but I am glad you made it and that I saw it. You still deserve sponsorship for the film project. Max is still ahead! I am looking forward to that episode.

I can't believe it ends here! No confronting the father, no calling police, no arrest? You're slipping! The videos of this nature that I've seen by you before ended with a well deserved arrest! I am VERY disappointed!

I like to imagine that after the surgery was a success, the father was arrested for abusing his daughter, as he deserves to go to jail for that. 🚔

Love this episode. Him thanking the universe is starting to remind me of Doc Bastard a little bit - a real life doctor who ran a blog for years. He always thanked the universe and "call gods" haha.

I can appreciate the effort that goes into this series, but I feel like in your pursuit of making David a misanthrope you're also making him an incompetent doctor, which ruins the immersion because there's no way a doctor like that could ever become a head of the clinic or someone younger doctors like Molly could look up to.

I do have to admit you've chosen great actors for both David and Molly, they've got a great dynamic. Please do justice to their work by writing their characters with more attention.
