Distance Formula & Midpoint Formula (College Algebra)

In this video, we review the Rectangular Coordinate System (also called the Cartesian Coordinate System or XY-Plane) and how to plot points. Then we work through an example that helps us see that the Distance Formula comes from the Pythagorean Theorem. We discuss the Distance Formula (finding the distance between two points) and work out some examples. We end with learning the Midpoint Formula (finding the point midway between two points) and do an example.
