Irene was the one who went with Troy and Terry was a better person since his arrival on the square being an abusive father, he changed his ways, apart from starting to drink here again because he was stressed.

Terry was incredible comedy character but I remember his early appearance he was a complete different character when he was a violent nasty man and trouble similar to Billy Mitchell and Jim Branning early years too. So many characters had transition over the years as we get to know them a bit more.
