This high-speed chase changed not only the young victims' lives--but also Minnesota as a whole--forever. In the years that followed, State Patrol significantly increased the flight time of its helicopter fleet in order to reduce the overall number and length of ground pursuits while still being able to track moving suspects overhead.

33 months? What a joke. He should be in prison until 2030 at the earliest.

40 years ago I did 5 years for breaking and entering into an unoccupied dwelling.
Shouldn't this guy get at least 10 to 20 years?

I have written hundreds of sentencing reports. 33 months is grossly insufficient

Judge needs to be held accountable. 33 months for this is actually an attack on society.

The two year old's neck and pelvis were broken. The family will never be the same again, this crash was very preventable.

He should’ve had five years. And 20 years probation. No alcohol, no drugs plus $100 a week to the victims for 25 years.

they should have pitted long before they got to the park like Arkansas and Florida does. That guy should have 33 yrs in prison.

"Don't PIT, we're going to fast!" Meanwhile, in Arkansas they're PIT-ing at 100mph, ending this nonsense before it starts.

5 years minimum… 33 months wasn’t even a slap on the rist.

Are you kidding me? 33 months for fleeing and causing significant injuries to 2 children and requiring a third child to need to go to the hospital. These poor children deserves more than what you gave them. This is beyond incomprehensive.

Why is it that in the U.S. a drug offense will still get you more time than an act of violence? 33 months is only 2.75 years. Last year a guy tried to steal my motorcycle, failed and was caught. Turns out he was wanted for other things as well. ( Drug offences) There was a plea deal struck he got 7 years.
