Lol to all the people who found these movies "cringy" with too much sex or lackluster in plot, etc. Did no one read the books? I haven't even read them but a quick synopsis from all three told me all I needed to know. And you know what? I loved these movies. Why? Because they let you be a part of the darker, more forbidden side of these secret relationships. Do I condone kidnapping or rape? Of course not. And if you pay attention to Laura's character, she might lash out in irritation at being controlled, but she is interested in this darker side he offers her. You can see it in her face and actions throughout the movie. I also know it's a MOVIE, and they are BOOKS. Places where your imagination or fantasies can run wild. Why would I want to watch or read something about a life I already live? Why would I care about boring sex on the screen or your average Joe wooing your average Josephine and they make all the right and rational decisions. I'd turn it off in 5 minutes....like all of the rest of you.
