Thousands of supporters of Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi thronged the streets of the country's capital, Naypyitaw, on Saturday, December 14 to celebrate her arrival back from The Hague after defending the country against genocide charges.
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate waved as she drove slowly in a black car through crowds who waved flags, held up pictures of her face, and shouted jubilant greetings.(REUTERS)
