From the poppy playtime notebook MOB games just released, we find that Player’s real name is P.W, but enough about that. Why does player never speak?

Firstly, and perhaps the most logical, is Player doesn’t speak due to the way the game was coded. MOB games may see no need for him to speak, perhaps to hide his identity further, or perhaps since there may not really be any reason. Player may also speak, for all we know, but maybe we, as the player, cannot hear ourselves/him talk, but he managed to commute with the toys of Playtime. Co
Secondly, what if player IS a toy? Could be a stretch, but… Huggy, Kissy Missy, Bron, PJ the Pugapillar, boxy boo, and a lot more toys are nonverbal, but still seem to understand directions and communicate with one another. Is it too much to assume that Player may be a toy? If the toys have a special way of talking without being heard or noticed by employees, if player was a toy, maybe that’s why he doesn’t speak. The toys seem to acknowledge us in a way that shows we speak; for example, at the end of chapter 2, Poppy asks, “Did you kill her?” Referring to mommy long legs. Soon after, she replies with “Good.” Did player actually respond to Poppy?
Thirdly, and shortest of all four, player may not speak due to trauma. He’s been attacked by many downright terrifying monsters, and is searching a haunted factory. Perhaps he just is rendered mute due to the things he’s seen and experienced?
And lastly, a bonus theory!
If player is a toy, that may explain a certain part of an earlier chapter. In chapter 2, kissy cocks her head to one side, seemingly studying us curiously, before opened the door and disappearing. If Kissy seemed confused, it may be due to our strange appearance as a toy. I have reason to believe that if he was a human employee, kissy would have attempted to attack, or run, but instead she chose to help us. When kissy attacks the player in-front of Home sweet Home, it’s a bigger mystery. Why would she help him get through a gate, but then decide to attack and nearly kill him? Was it because of the dim lighting, making her see us as a threat? Or… going back to an earlier theory by PoppyTheory, discussing how Kissy may have met with poppy, he mentions this theory:
Poppy and Player may have landed in the same area after the crash, and if Kissy came to investigate, she may have seen both Poppy and Player, and took Poppy with her, apparently deeming us as a threat with the little information she had to go off of.

when playing i just assumed it was to avoid losing immersion. no race, gender, (obvious) height or weight, as opposed to playing as some rando, it’s like it’s really You. obviously now that i’m further in the lore i have some ideas, but i just assumed we survived because we called in sick that day or something and had survivors guilt

It’s rich we’ve gotten multiple vhs tapes about his time at playtime co and we know he’s a old employee who was known by the toys assuming he’s either a random doctor but it makes sense for him to be rich since he deeply cared about the orphans and their well being and safety as seen in the vhs tapes and his vhs tapes are random and don’t add that much to the story except him being the main character

You should start watching this one channel that has a bunch of poppy playtime on it. Also, you get to see the player with a face and other characters that are nice to the player. You also get to see him as human and some episodes.😊

According to MatPat in 'Game Theories' (I don't remember what video), when he looked at the scattered letters after the player slides down Elliott Ludwig's tunnel said that the most reasonable name for the player in this game series could be Jamie B. Honey, head of innovation (i think its innovation, its been a while since I've watched that video.
