The moment I heard "Honey I'm home by ghost" I got SO excited, honey I'm home and chattering lack of common sense to me are my top 2 favorites of ghost!

Here's some Vocaloid fun facts, because you've probably heard vocaloid before without actually realizing it!

The Nyan Cat song was actually originally sung by Hatsune Miku (produced by Daniwell who still makes music btw), however the version that became popular was a cover done using an UTAU named Momone Momo. UTAU is another voice synth software, but unlike vocaloid, it's free and is typically seen as lower quality, however I enjoy a lot of UTAU songs.

Porter Robinson uses a lot of Vocaloid in his music. The song that first comes to mind is Goodbye to a World which is completely sung using a vocaloid if I remember correctly. He usually uses vocaloid in the background vocals.

The cartoon Bee and Puppycat actually uses the vocaloid Oliver to voice Puppycat!

I think it's really interesting how vocaloid has shown up so much across English media, but not many people know about it, or they think of it as a niche genre.

If you would like to listen to more English based vocaloid music I highly recommend songs by the producer KIRA such as “Monster”, “GETCHA”, “Highlight” and “LadyLike”.

really hoping this becomes a regular series, because you've got about a decades worth of vocaloid music to catch up on! incase it does, i would like to recommend some songs because i'm honestly surprised i haven't seen any commenters mention these yet.

fair warning: a lot of these songs are creepy/dark because, imo, these types of songs tend to utilize vocaloids the most uniquely.

kikuo - "gomenne gomenne" (or any other song by kikuo, this ones very dark)
maretu ft miku - "suji"
masa works design - "the fox's wedding"
hachi - "matryoshka"
sasaki - "meltdown"
wowaka (r.i.p.) - "two-faced lovers"
takamatt - "tokio funka"
neru - "lost one's weeping"
utsu p - "parasite"
chouchou p - "hm ah yes"
deco*27 ft gumi - "mozaik role"
kanimiso p ft hatsune miku - "bacterial contamination" (cw: very disturbing imagery in mv)
chaa ft kagamine rin - "fear garden"
machigerita p - "dark woods circus"
kiichi ft miku - "banshee strikes"
nekobolo ft miku - "tawagoto speaker"
nem ft miku - "scissorhands"

You talking about the vocal range of Vocaloid made me think of how I can still not sing the high notes of Meltdown (also a vocaloid song). And how I always feel a bit bad for anyone that covers the song because you can really hear how high it goes. Or with the Disappearance of Hatsune Miku being intentionally ridiculously fast.
Vocaloid let's you compose songs you would feel sorry for real singers to sing lol

Definitely worth being a Series you can put more time into. So many different genres, unique sounds, great artists, etc. I listen to music 24/7, to sleep, cook, game, everything and Vocaloid alone got me through 5 years+. There is a lot to unpack with Vocaloid as a Genre of Music. Definitely should have more recognition as a whole and not limited to Anime Fans and similar people.

at this rate I am just so thrilled to see even more Vocaloid reactions, I wish this would never end, its rare to find reactions to Vocaloid content so this is just a blessing, also I'm so glad to see reactions to Bring it on and Venom, I am praying there will be more videos someday soon since there are so many good songs like Tokyo Teddy Bear and most things from Kagerou Project

"I really appreciate when an artist tries something new..."

Me: *breathes* YOU SHOULD FREAKING REACT TO KIKUO!!!

Edit: I mean this!! Kikuo is on God Tier since 2012. He's up there with GIGA-P in terms of talent and GHOST when it comes to sound.

by the way, the artist of the 1st song in the video (Shadow Shadow) is apparently only 16 years old, and had only just recently started out with making vocaloid music
that was their 2nd song!

also, I wonder if you plan on reacting to any of these songs:
- "Falling..." by MINO-U
- "Fräulein=Biblioteka" by Nyanyannya
- "The breaths and screams made a mess of things" by Slave.V-V-R
- "My square" by IMO
- "Fairy-Taled" by Yuukiss
all these 5 songs feature my favorite vocaloid MEIKO, and she was also the first ever japanese vocaloid to be made back when Vocaloid came out in 2004

Yes, another one! If there's any one of these I want you to continue, it's probably vocaloid, there's so many amazing songs! Some great vocaloid producers that I recommend (though you've already reacted to one of them) Are Ghost and Kikuo!

Also, though I of course would love if you continued to react to vocaloid, may I also gently request a dive into Electro swing? It's my favorite genre with some amazing artists I'm going to totally list off now- FAKE TYPE, Caravan Palace, Tape Five, ProleteR, Parov Stelar, Wolfgang Lohr, Jamie Berry, 11 Acorn Lane, and so many more! (these maaay or may not be in order of preference...)

I love the" story of evil" song series and the "seven deadly sins" series of songs.(they have cool stories)
Though i prefer the human covers😓

You need to check out the Story of Evil series, specifically Daughter of Evil and Servant of Evil(in that order preferably cause it’s SoE is like a sequels of DoE). Cendrillon 10th Anniversary and Punch it Punk goes hard too.

When you said "not many singers have huge vocals, right?", I thought "there's utaite!". Mafumafu and Miyashita Yuu are great choices for voice range. Vocaloids are great (I like the songs from Deco 27 and Neru), then utaites give humanness (is this a word?) to the song. I love the combination!

I HIGHLY recommend Eve as another vocaloid artist!! his songs are so good and the animated videos are really cool. my favorites are inochi no tabekata, dramaturgy, and raison detre :))))
