Unboxing a glass dip pen and Sailor ink set from Kitaichi Plaza, Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan

I love the glass lamp design on the wrapping paper, a nod to Kitaichi's roots as a lamp maker.

Otaru is a port city famous for glassware; while I went outside of summer and wasn't able to hear windchimes during my visit, I did get the chance to pick up my first glass dip pen and an ink inspired by the canal running through the city.

The ink is in a vase-shaped bottle and represents a sunny day at the canal; just like the day I got the set :)
