My dad ruined all of his marriages by marrying other women at the same time. He was abusive and it actually was a vacation when he was with his other wives, but it didn't make it any less painful for my mum (who was wife 1). It made her feel like she wasn't good enough and I saw her crying about it so many times. It was one of the most effed up things in my childhood and he actually advised his friends to marry other women too, and they ruined their first marriages too. It's an awful practice. And they say women are emotional and that's why they get sad from it. But these men would never be able to take it if their wives were marrying and sleeping with other men. It's so hypocritical

Why is it immoral to be in a lovely, respectful and LOYAL relationship…
but its morally right to be married with a wife, marry others behind her back and having slaves for sex?

This was the main reason I left islam, (UK) my uncle married a 2nd wife from Pakistan and his 1st wife was not happy so she went for a divorce. The entire community went against her calling her "bersharm" I remember being at a family gathering defending her saying that was unislamic (I was a mufti abu layth fan) my uncle who was a imam defended my uncle and gave the right hadith and quran verse. This was the first thing thatade me question Islam. I lived with my family in Saudi and this was a normal practice. All the imams encouraged it and they preeched about how women are the majority of the hell population and all their advice was directed to women then they would finish their ugly speeches with talking about alhour alein! My husband thought it a good idea to solve our marital problems by getting a 2nd wife. Without my knowledge too. Soon after I divorced him. The 2nd wife divorced him later too when he played the same trick on her.

Like this sheikh says, my husband too thought I was the one who was unreasonable. The fault for our problems was mine. I was not obedient enough, not grateful enough, not willing enough, etc.There is no pleasing such men. But sure, the woman is the culprit. She has no reason to complain, to 'nag'', to grow unaffectionate. She a mere tool to be used for his desires. Not the other way round. It doesn't even occur to these men that women have desires, wishes, needs, dreams, lives as well.

My grandmother's sister's husband married a second wife and had kids with her in secret. When the first wife came to know, she couldn't take it and her mental state deteriorated. She wasn't herself anymore and she led that same life till her death.

It's really funny I asked my mum the other day if she knew anyone with multiple wives. And my dad pointed out how they are all men who are sexual deviants and don't actually look after their wives equally. I then asked my mum if she could think of any examples where all the women in the marriage is happy and the only person she could think of was prophet mohammed, I was really tempted to tell my mum about the verses in the quran that were there just to get his wives off his back lol

In Islam a women has to share her husband with up to 3 additional wives. In Islam men get a lot of privileges.

Many muslims would deny things he says, because they are good hearted and cant believe that islam is like that.
