The Garmin ECHOMAP UHD ULTRA 2 is said to be one of the best fish finders on the market. So, I installed it on my boat to test it out!

I kept the installation extremely basic, as I've only been borrowing this unit for a little while. But, if you take advantage of all the features, I could see the installation process getting pretty complicated.

Expensive- starting at $1,900 and going well over $2,200, you're paying for some features you'll never use.

If you want to take advantage of livescope, you'll still need to purchase the black box and transducer, which is another $1,200-$2,500.

Who is it for?

This is not a beginner-friendly unit, and I honestly believe it's overkill for the average angler. Still, if you fish tournaments or are a guide, the Garmin ECHOMAP HUD ULTRA 2 has everything you'll need to find fish on tournament day or for your clients.
