Park City Mountain Resort has numerous mountain biking trails. This GoPro video starts on the Crescent Lift which can haul your mountain bike up the mountain and drop you off at 8,700' elevation. The trails that I filmed begin with Three Candles Trail, Keystone Trail, Shadow Lake Trail, Comstock Mine Road/Powerline Trail and the Spiro Trail. The mileage from the top of the lift back to the base where the Crescent lift is located was approximately 7 miles. The route involves some moderate climbs, rugged trail sections with rocks, pot holes and exposed tree roots. There's flat sections of the trail and lots of downhill. The views are spectacular along the way, in particular you'll want to stop at Shadow Lake, and the ruins of the California-Comstock Mine.
For more information on the California-Comstock Mine and other mines in the area check out this web site:
The California-Comstock stamp mill has been deteriorating since 1917 when
it was last remodeled. It could process 150 tons of ore per day and was
operated by very few men. Solon Spiro’s Tunnel lies 1700-feet underneath
this. It is connected underground to the Thaynes Shaft via the West End Tunnel where skiers used to ride the Skier Subway to alight at Thaynes Lift in the early days of Treasure Mountain.
