I find it hard to believe a journalist knows exactly how many intercepting missiles the US has.

I worked on the GMD, ground based mid course, missile defense. Do you seriously believe that the military officers in charge would give you the straight dope on our capabilities. Or did they feed you old intel, hoping you’d publish it on u-tube so the enemy would see it.

I'm just going to go out on a limb but... hear me out... is it possible that there is a defense system Annie Jacobsen doesn't know about that may be classified?

“Impossible” I’m not fan of the government but that sounds like a load of shit.

Wasn’t this the same woman on Rogans podcast a few years ago that wouldn’t answer any questions except for saying “you have to buy my book”?

The 44 ground based interceptors are also supplemented by Aegis class ships which carry SM bloc interceptors. In a full-scale exchange, nothing will insulate us from a massive attack … but that goes for our two, prime, enemies, too. It would be madness on all our parts to do such an assault.

Her saying it’s “impossible” that we don’t have more than 44 interceptor mussels I feel is a tad naive of her with her background of knowledge

When every answer to a question starts with a story, I find myself rejecting anything they say

The fact that Annie didn't mention the importance of MAD and the game theory risk of trying to remove MAD with either interceptors or first strike weapons is pretty weird.

I liked the small smile that Lex had when Annie answered Lex question about could there be more interceptor missiles what is told and Annie said "No impossible....". I had the same feeling ...

The US has more than 2894 interceptors capable of shooting down ICBMS currently deployed (actual number is classified):
294 THAAD
>500 SM3
>500 SM6
44 GBI (what she's talking about)
1600 PAC-3

Can they be intercepted? Only if Zach Wilson threw it.

Super weird that she said it was impossible that we couldn’t have more. To assume that you know all things and not even have the proper clearance to even make that judgement is irrational. The US has always been 60-80 years more advanced than they show the public. For example, the Blackbird (fastest stealth bomber ever) was shown to us in 2007. They’ve been flying it since freaking the 1940s!!! We probably have tech that would blow her mind. I honestly think the UfO stuff is just coverup to fool our enemies from our own tech.

No one knows what we've been putting in space for the last 30 years. But no missile is going to stop a Poseidon Torpedo.

Thank you for the written transcript! I usually prefer reading news, but everything is video oriented.

STORE CLERK: Are you paying by cash or credit card, ma'am?
ANNIE JACOBSEN: You'll have to buy my book to get the answer to that question.

Why don’t we have 20, 000 of these interceptors? Shouldn’t it be a very top priority?

So this lady thinks she knows more than she does. The US has a lot more than 44 interceptor missiles. We may onoy have 44 land based missiles, but every Arleigh Burke destroyer and Ticonderoga class Cruier is loaded with them. Google US Navy SM3 😂

seen a interceptor missile test from vandenberg a couple years ago. it was unimpressive to say the least.
