India in recent history blocked Nepal India lifeline border for 3 times. India is big neighbor but unreliable one. The fatal one was is 2015 when Nepal was blocked by India for 6 months choking Nepal economically. Therefore reliable access thru China is essential. China is always good to Nepal.
