Season 8 - Episode 16: "Wrath"
Scene: Gabriel speaks to God; Rick reads his own letter to Carl.

"Dear Carl,
I remember. I forgot who I was. You made me remember. I remember that feeling, walking with you that day. Like I finally knew who I was for the first time in my life. Thing is, we were walking side-by-side, but you were bringing me somewhere. Bringing me here. Bringing all of us to the new world, Carl. You showed me the new world. You made it real. I see it. I remember.
- Dad."

The Walking Dead - Season 8 unofficial soundtrack. All music composed by Bear McCreary. Apologies for any unwanted noises (walkers, gunshots, etc.) as they cannot be removed. Credit to Will Weems and Edgy ClEmmy.

This was the most heartbreaking finale yet in the series, nothing could be more devastating than for a man to lose his son...

This is really depressing. I always cry when I see this scene.

This would've made the perfect ending to the series. Not saying I necessarily wanted it to end, but if they decided to end it here, I believe it'd be the perfect ending to Rick's story.

Every time I hear this it makes me cry thinking how far rick and Carl has come and it ends with rick hearing a gunshot and burying his sons body

"I can see..."

This whole scene was brilliant and tearjerking. For a Season so middling and a death so unnecessary [Carl's], this was a hell of a way to end it. Emotional 1000% and perfect closure with this beautiful moment and music. It made me tear up. Obviously I don't want the show to end, but if they had cut out the Maggie/Daryl rebellion scene, this could've been a series finale tbh

THANK YOU to everyone for watching, liking, commenting and subscribing. Your continued support is what makes this channel. After a disappointing first half to the season, the second half really picked up (minus what I thought to be a completely unnecessary mid-season death). Bear continues to up the game with his music every episode. Expect the remaining 'Best of' compilations soon as well as some FEAR THE WALKING DEAD (well, a select few tracks, anyway). If not, I will see y'all for Season 9!

It’s such a simple piece of music but there’s so much emotion behind it. Thank you for sorting this out 👍🏻

damn it, this made me remember what my late dad said to me the day he passed away...
"Grow up, be strong and live well with mom, I will be resting from now on..."
Rick walking with kid carl is exactly what my mental images are, with my own dad, long ago... in a summer day.

What a poetic artistic coda for The Walking Dead series 1 finale. . .
What we happened what we did, what we lost. There’s gotta be something after. #TWD2

When I read Issue 193, the final comic today, this was playing in my head especially with the ending.
