Andrea's channel is really great. especially when you want to get a grasp of some band's sound etc. His riff compilations got me into Death and Tool.

Andree is a phenomenal player, he catches every subtle nuance of some very different players.

I love guitar solos that are very technical but still very melodic. To hear a guitarist shred melodically is really satisfying

I know it's not as iconic as these solos but that guitar solo in Don't Fear The Reaper from Blue Oyster Cult really stands out to me, very dark and mysterious!! Muhahahaaaa!!!

I love the fact that david gilmour got on the list twice. David is one of my biggest influences. I love em.

Blackmore is one of the few guitarists along with Gilmore that you can feel the emotion in the solo, When a Blind man Cry's, or Wasted Sunsets.

Big fan of this dude. His videos are always a great watch (3rd November Rain solo was so good!)

It is impossible to pick only 10 iconic rock guitar solos. Nothing here by Randy Rhoads, EVH, Eagles (Hotel California), and a ton more. Great playing though.

Gilmour is my favourite. i think a lot of his solos could be on this list, such as Sorrow, On the Turning away, Time, On an Island, In Any Tongue and Great Day For Freedom. i love them and many more, especially when they're played live. they're usually the best

On guitar probably Ritchie but maybe Paganini might have been the first shredder ever :)

Exactly why Gilmour is my solo GOAT. Every single note in his solos is perfectly placed & executed.

It's like Andrea has a Sharingan he uses to copy all of those artists and their solos.. Impressive ability indeed! Thank you for the insight and commentary Shred!

Unfortunate that his list only shows widely accepted, mainstream songs. We'll heard these songs many times, and they are embedded in our psyche. There are many other awesome guitar players who have crafted incredible emotions from their guitar solos as well.
