How To Play MKV Files Using VLC Media Player On Windows 10 ?

Step 2: Click on Download VLC Button .

Step 3: Run the VLC Media Plater SetUp File and Install the Software .

Step 4: Go to MKV File and Right Click there .

Step 5: Click on Choose Another App and Find the VLC media Player ,select it and then Click on "Always use this app to open .mkv files".

VLC is a great player except for MKV videos. It is especially good for LINUX flavors of systems. It is just ok for Windows. My player of choice for Windows is Media Player Classic (or the Home Cinema version). It is a very small but powerful player and does everything I need. VLC has the ability to stream as well as other more sophisticated features, but since most videos I use are MKV, it really doesn't cut it.

what if i change the file extension to avi, mp4, flv?? sometime this works on other videos...
