But How Do You Draw the Right Proportions??

When trying to nail proportions from a reference, we need something to be our unit of measurement. Often, we use the height of the head. Yes, that drawing is wearing paper shorts lol

Why shouldn't you use one unit, such as the head, to measure anything and everything in your drawing? What would be a better, and more consistent, unit to measure from?
