You don’t have to make 10 grand a month to consider it full time. I average around 6 and consider reselling my full time job. Hard to beat, especially as a stay at home mom to a toddler and an infant. Most people with “regular” full time jobs do not make 10 grand a month lol

I feel as if it’s not really worth thrifting at thrift stores much these days because stores like goodwill take all the valuable stuff and put it on their auction site.

It definitely depends on how and where you live.

Gotta go mobile! Brick and mortar has really been a thing of the past for about the past decade. It's better to go to the customers at trade shows, flea markets, festivals, bazaars, City shows, excetera. Go to the events where they have a thousand plus attendees everyday at least and you'll make much more. Work only the weekends and source and do business stuff during the weekdays. I cannot imagine sitting in a store with so much merchandise and a handful of customers. I'll go one step further, and this is only my personal belief, but whenever you completely take the money out of the equation and do not focus on the things that society has told you to focus on, but rather your own intuition and senses, there's no end to the potential.

Plus thrift stores are becoming really expensive. Ya you can find some gems that are priced well but overall it's becoming ridiculous.

I make 8k a month from thrift stores and I only go sourcing one day a week.

I think it's only meant for people trying to supplement your income.

I think storage lots are a better way to source merchandise. You find a lot of value items to resell in units.

Thanks for your honesty. Too many influencers out there peddling unrealistic get-rich-quick schemes and reeling in gullible people.

this needs to said loud and clear for everyone, you can make money but the days of making a living on them is long gone.

Goodwill watching all these youtuber resellers marketing for them

For most people this is true, but you do have some great sellers out there that easily do over 10k a month thrifting. Just depends on your skill, and getting out of bed routinely just to go thrift. It definitely takes a toll mentally, and physically.

The last goodwill i went too, the cashier was pissed that I found a item she liked, she said the store associates, pick through the items before they put on floor and she missed that one.

I knew it was over when cute girls starting working at thrifts. I asked shorty one time why she worked here and she told me she had a vintage clothing page and that was the last time I ever went there

Why do youtubers not tell you the name of the scanners they use

When I was in school full time 2 years ago I made enough to be able to support myself but now I don’t make near enough. I only really have one thrift store I go to because they do half off days and have a lot of vintage clothes because it’s a donation center for an older church

Well, where else do you buy stuff from? If it’s not the thrift stores?
