Java is not simple. It's utterly overcomplicated with a lot of stuff. It's the pinnacle of a verbose language.

Java is less portable than C. How many times I've heard this and found Java programs that won't execute on Linux. Problems on problems. While C programs you just recompile and go. No issues.

Java us Object oriented. Yes a lot. Actually grateful to have learned object oriented programming through java.

Java is platform independent. C is too. Just recompile your program, is not rocket science. Also lots of weird issues with Java programs that were supposed to be running on other platforms with no issues.

Also adding: Java is fast as C. It's true, you can even find examples in which Java is faster than C. But you are paying that with 10x times more of ram usage.
