I had to do these exercises for a while after a coma. Hard work

I got 1 of those after my gallbladder surgery. It was painful at first, but it really helped my breathing once I got used to it. I also used it when I pulled a muscle in my abdomen. Again, very helpful.

I had severe pneumonia years ago, but I checked out of hospital after staying in the hospital for a week because I ran out of money.

I didn't go through the rehabilitation like this, so it has had adverse impact on my breathing.

My lung collapsed a few years ago so I had to use one of those for a while to get my lungs working right again. when I was in the hospital, I literally made the same joke to my mom 😂😂

i ODd on fentanyl when i was 15 and i was in my room 2 hours unconsciously choking on my vomit. Even after they gave me narcan i felt completely fine although clearly intoxicated. But once i got to the hospital they put a tube into my lungs to suck all the vomit out and i was in the ICU for a day and then normal for couple after that. I wasn’t able to go 30 seconds without oxygen, even shorter if I was walking, until the last day, and then i had some shortness of breath for a month or two

The literature on IS vs DBE is mixed. Some studies show some moderate benefit of IS in specific cases. Otherwise encouraging deep breathing and coughing is often as beneficial and tens to hundreds of dollars cheaper depending on how respiratory charges for the equipment and time. If indicated IPV or opep/vpep are good interventions.

My ex sister in law thought it wouldn't matter and didn't use this after her mommy makeover. Landed in ICU with pneumonia; added an exponent to the cost of that lazy way of trying to look better -and almost cost her her life.

When I had my 3rd knee surgery, my nurse gave me one of those and told me to use it every couple of hours until I was back on my feet. She told me it was “my best friend” for a while.

I had to use that, and i had an oxygen tube. Every time i took off the oxygen tube off, an alarm would would notify the nurse.
