Atomic Shrimp Advent Calendar - 16th December 2024 - Nature Closeup

Показать описание
This is part of a series of simple, sometimes-festive but always-cosy videos to take us all the way through December, up to Christmas Day.

(*Except this advent calendar series, which is not on Early Access, because advent calendars need to be a surprise!)

Intro music is Christmas Village by Aaron Kenny - from the YouTube Audio Library

I could watch an hour-long version of this quite happily, very poetic and visual. I am loving the entire calendar. 🎄

This was our favourite door thus far, and that's intended as high praise - we are so very thoroughly enjoying your Advent-ures. As for *this* installment, you have such a gentle gift for seeking out and seeing the majestic beauty in humble hidden places, and deftly framing said wonders to share with us all. That is a true gift; thank you again and as always for this beautiful interlude. We truly appreciate your making time to do this.

Loved the narration of today’s video. Exceptional photography Mr Shrimp. Loves Eva’s contribution as always tearing around like a mad hound 😂

Thank you for this beautifully narrated closeup of the forest. This is how I find my inspiration to paint images in words, as well.

This video is completely my jam. I love microenvironments, moss, fungi, lichen and insects. Amazing.

You and Eva have quite different methods of reflecting.

Another great one. Something I couldn’t see myself if I was walking in a forest. The close ups are stunning.

Captivating! Thank you. The scenes in this video somehow reminded me of illustrations from a book that I received for a very long ago Christmas. Books, especially old and beloved ones, become a special sort of friend. So my plan for today is to take time to reacquaint myself with that beautiful pal that still lives on the bookshelf in my den.

Oh, that was lovely. It reminded me of one of the Public Information Films of the 1960's and '70s - not the scary 'don't do this' ones, but the ones aimed at the tourist, the camper, the walker.
A beautiful elegiac narration, with some classical music, and the odd sound effect. I was always fascinated by those. My younger brother, on the other hand, was terrified by them - he hated the ones that had sounds of battle, but show peaceful countryside. The film for Warwick Castle is one of those.
Yours, however, is simply beautiful, and I shall be enjoying it again.
Thank you. 👌👌👌

I'm slowly becoming fond of late autumn/early winter. It can, in fact, be beautiful. One just needs to look past the obvious grey and cold and focus on such little but meaningful things.

This takes me back to my childhood. My mother was amused by the way I would stop and stare at the tiny details in plants and small insects, getting left behind as the rest of the family walked on.

This was a really pleasant short little beautiful reminder that there are always things to appreciate, even if it's on other's behalf (like the rose hips as food for animals).
Thank you :)

That was not only very interesting but incredibly relaxing - thank you! We spend too much time dashing around through our short lives and tend to miss the wonders around us.
