She has the problem of being one of the early champions in League back when they were just generic avatars with no character. Like her or not she's iconic for the game, so unfortunately Riot seems really reluctant to change her in any meaningful way. But she could really use a rework- and I do mean on every level. Lore, voicelines, design, animation. She deserves to be more than redhead Celaena Sardothien.

Tho the walking animation is a slight moonwalk. Or walking on an conveyor belt against the flow. It doesn't match the actual speed your traveling and I can't tell you how much that fucks with me 😅

I think I kinda get what you mean when Sjyen said most of them feel uninspired, and how the Battle Academia one seem to give up for the bottom part, but most of what I really get is just that knife-swapping mechanic looks nice, interesting, and a perfect fit for her character

A while back me and friends had a discussion about reworking Katarina entirely. And I took the stance of not doing much of anything with her personality or story. They argued that she had to be more than just an edgy sexy assassin girl, and I said why? My argument was simple, and that is that sometimes simple is best. If every champion has a deep in depth and complex backstory, the stories start to lose meaning and become normal. Sometimes having a background that is simple and plain works just fine. But there's a trick. If you do that, then you need to go full bore into the story. If she's gonna remain just an edgy assassin girl, then make her the MOST edgy assassin girl (We could hold off on the more sexiness, I think Riot has done enough fanservice in its past to last a lifetime) And I was fully hoping this would be the direction that they'd take her, but...then I saw the trailer for the new Darkin champion soon to be released and I guess Riot now has that market thoroughly cornered.

Would be a really cool rework to give her a mini arsenal like aphelios but it’s just maybe 3/4 different types of knives that will give her a slight advantage, like maybe one makes her have a bit more attack speed
