Will the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program be a part of shutdown talks?

"We want to do what's right and do it all at one time. We don't want to take it in pieces," Trump said in response to a question from the PBS NewsHour's Lisa Desjardins during a news conference at the White House on Friday. "DACA is going to be a great subject. I look forward to discussing it at another time. There are a lot of great things that can happen if the Democrats want to do that."

Trump's response signals that a discussion over DACA could happen amid negotiations over the partial government shutdown which has latest about two weeks.

But the president has previously batted down deals over DACA. He has also moved to end the program, although a federal judge blocked his administration's decision in January 2018, while legal challenges proceeded.
