How to delete thousands of yahoo! emails at once

As in the new yahoo mail, you can't seem to have the option to select 'all emails in a folder / inbox' - you need a special trick to list, select and delete all emails altogether. Here is how: in the search box, type something generic, such as "yahoo" (at least your email address should have it) as keyword. When the search results are listed, select all from the top and press delete. voilà!

Doesnt work - This is using Yahoo 5 years ago, since then things have changed. Their backend wont scale allowing people do this anymore. You are limited to ~50 emails being fetched at a time. Which means you can only select 50 emails for deletion from the tickbox at the top, or selecting "All" from the drop down next to it.

thanks for the tip. it really helps to filter/ single out messages for deletion when you use the search bar up top. never thought of that.
